How to stop overanalyzing

Decide what "enough" looks like, notice when you've passed it, and switch to a small test in the real world.

Analysis is useful. But it has diminishing returns. The first hour of thinking about a problem is valuable. The tenth hour is mostly the first hour, repeated with more anxiety.

A good question: will more thinking change what I do next? If not, you've thought enough. What you need now isn't more analysis but real-world feedback.

Real-world feedback comes from action. A small test, a message, a draft, a call. Reality answers questions your mind can only guess at.

Enough check

  1. 1.Write the question you keep analyzing.
  2. 2.Ask: what new information would actually change my next step?
  3. 3.If you can name it, find the quickest way to get it. If you can't, you've thought enough.
  4. 4.Choose one small real-world test. Do it today.
